MICA DALTON

Mica has been the owner/operator of TRAIN gym through the last decade of its existence. Over the years, the gym has evolved and grown based on a few key components that are at the heart of what TRAIN is all about. Passion for the client, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, Growth and Teamwork. These are our core values and the things that have allowed us to continue to serve our community for 10+ years!

Collin Bivins-Hance

Collin Bivins-Hance, a former MSSU Assistant Football Coach. Coaching football made me realize that I enjoy training athletes more than anything. I now have the opportunity to work with individual athletes at TRAIN. My goal is to help them realize their potential, reach their goals and set them up for success in their respective sport. I want to develop athletes who can move faster and jump higher. There is also an aspect to my training of unconventional movement patterns to help set the athlete up for the best case scenario when it comes to avoiding injury!

Lexie Brown

I want everyone to feel the immense positive benefits, physical & mental, that come with changes to your diet and exercise routine
Style of training
I will teach you small, meaningful ways to change your day to day habits and create a successful long term lifestyle change. A typical in person session can get a bit loud with me, I love to encourage people to push themselves a little further than they think they’re capable of.
Ideal client
Someone who is ready, willing, and able to follow a plan that we adjust as needed to accomplish desired goals (weight loss, fat loss, muscle gain, improved cardiovascular endurance, etc). Someone who doesn’t give up when things feel hard or uncomfortable
Why they want to work with you
I have gone through a transformation myself, and maintained my personal results. I have been training clients at TRAIN for 4 years, been a certified personal trainer for 3 years, and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach for over a year. I love helping people find sustainable ways to change their daily lives and achieve their goals!

Mandy Freeman

Health and nutrition have always been something I’ve valued, and I thought I had it all figured out. The truth: I didn’t! Not even close. When I started as a client with TRAIN as my husband’s accountability partner, little did I know it would change my life and help me change other people’s lives alike. The total misconception we’ve always been taught in the fitness industry is that we MUST eat very little and do a ton of cardio to be thin and fit. As a fitness coach, personal trainer, and nutrition coach, my why……..My reason is easy! I want clients to know that food is not our enemy and that strength training is one of the most effective ways to enhance lean body mass and help fight the stubborn fat that won’t melt away. My preferred training method is strength training with a bit of cardio and core training to keep your body in a constant state of healthy-caloric energy burn.

Carley Garrett

My style of training would be a holistic approach. Figuring out the clients relationship with themselves, with food, and with the gym. Focusing on building confidence and combating the insecurities that we all deal with. Discovering lifestyle changes that will stick with you for years to come. I want to see the change in someone's mental health and how that spills into other areas of their lives. The physical transformation is a great bonus!

Mason Hutson

My passion lies in guiding clients through diverse processes, including strength and conditioning, fat loss, and fostering healthier lifestyles. While I consider myself a generalist in training, I've developed a particular affinity for functional bodybuilding. I work with a wide range of clientele and am dedicated to helping individuals achieve their goals. Let's connect and discuss how I can assist you in reaching your fitness objectives.

Becca Verhaar

I have been at TRAIN since 2021 and couldn’t imagine any other place for me. I find the most joy in lifting heavy weights and solving problems for my clients. After having my two boys, my life spiraled a bit and then I found myself again through fitness, and now I get to help other women and men do the same! I love to find the little wins that add up to the big ones along the way and cheer my clients on until we get them to their goals. I can’t wait to work with you!

Ethan Trueblood

My name is Ethan Trueblood and I’ve been in the personal training game for almost two years now. I fell in love with training as a high school athlete and was able to find a place of solitude in the weight room. I knew shortly after falling in love with the weight room that I wanted to make a career out of helping others in the same way my strength and conditioning coach helped me. My style of training can be summed up into this one quote, “you don’t have to be extreme, just consistent.” For most of my clients we focus on athletic development by implementing exercises that hone in on balance, strength, power, and speed. My ideal client is anyone who works hard and wants to be there improving themselves, as well as someone who is curious about why we are doing the things that we are doing.

Michelle Hansen

With a degree from the University of Utah, CrossFit Level One certification, and over 12 years of CrossFit experience, I offer dedicated coaching. My perspective is deeply shaped by motherhood—as a mom of five, I've spent over a decade navigating fitness through pregnancy and postpartum. I'm passionate about helping women reconnect with their strength, especially postpartum, and I'm dedicated to empowering all individuals to feel strong and confident in their bodies.

Kelly Kleespies

I’m Kelly, I’m a former gymnast turned gymnastics coach and have been in the fitness arena consistently since 2017. I started coaching CrossFit classes in 2020 and have loved getting to play a small part in the health and wellness of others. I have 4 kids and have worked out throughout pregnancy and postpartum and have a passion for helping moms through whatever season they’re in. I have a pregnancy and postpartum coaching certification as well as a CrossFit L-1. As a mom, it’s a priority for me to get to the gym, not just for my physical wellbeing but for my mental and emotional health as well and giving my kids a good example. I love helping others gain confidence and strength and belief in themselves!

Oliva Ryan

Olivia Ryan is a passionate advocate for health, fitness, and inclusive wellness. A graduate of Missouri Southern State University, Olivia spent five years as a special education teacher. She co-founded Jaxon’s Badgers, a nonprofit offering adaptive fitness classes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, she serves as the Southeast Region Director for Special Olympics Kansas, where she continues to champion inclusion through sport and fitness. Olivia holds certifications in Precision Nutrition and CrossFit Level One and believes in empowering people of all abilities to pursue wellness—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Adam England

While pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health Promotion & Wellness, I started leading group class in 2019. From there I fell in love with helping others chase their fitness dreams. After graduating, I took on a Research Assistant position at the University of Arkansas working with the Office of Sports Concussion Research. There I received my Master’s of Exercise Science Degree. Along the way of both degrees, I was helping others achieve success and confidence with their health & fitness. My career goal is to impact as many people as possible live the lifestyle they thought impossible.

Chelsey Cross

Hi! My name is Chelsey Cross. You can catch me coaching Functional Fit, or our Hyrox classes here at Train. I have been coaching since 2016 and have earned a few certifications in the meantime, including: Bachelors in Physical Eduction and Health, CrossFit L2, CrossFit Kids, and Precision Nutrition. Along with coaching here at Train I enjoy working one on one with not only adults, but kids too, personal training. Outside of work I like to: run, read, listen to a good podcast, drink a good vanilla latte, walk with my friends, and spend time with my family.

Aaron Watts

CF-L1, USAW Sports Performance Coach, and Power Athlete Block One Coach with over a decade of experience in the fitness industry. I spent seven years as the head coach at my gym, where I led group classes, developed athletes, and built a strong training community. I’ve also managed strength and conditioning programs for multiple college athletic teams. My passion for fitness began during my time in the military, where training was essential to my performance and success. That experience shaped my coaching philosophy and commitment to helping others become stronger, more capable versions of themselves. I’ve been living in the Joplin area for the past three years with my wife, Carey, and our two daughters, ages 7 and 2.

Eric Rutledge

Been personal training/group training since 2008. I personally love training with in the functional fitness world “CrossFit”. Reasoning behind that is that there is never a finish line. There’s always something that I can get better at. Chasing the 1% so to say. Reasons why I am a trainer are.

1 - I know what it’s like to walk this road alone and attempt to navigate that path and I don’t want anyone who’s will to let me help them not have to take such a long road.

2 - I love to help people achieve things they didn’t think were possible. If that’s a body image goal or a performance goal or even just a “I don’t get tired playing with my kids/grandkids” goal

3 - I want people to know they are not stuck. And there are ways out of their current situation. It will take effort but having someone next to you definitely helps the journey!
